Message Other variables that are taught in Intro college courses...Talk to a Physics professor with a PhD and he'll probaly rattle off 4 or 5 other factors that you had no idea made any difference but influence the amoutn of friction on such a small scale that it is for all practical purposes an accurate representation to leave them out and have a more simple formula for non physics majors.
